I so agree with your findings that getting rid of behavior chart is not only possible but so effective and beneficial! By taking a more individualized approach, we are able to tailor behavior management to students with a wide variety of needs and learning styles, and increase our kids' intrinsic motivation to be their best selves in school. This is what I have found in my class, where we individualize behavior management strategies for each student. I love your idea of the Think Letter in getting kids involved in making goals/plans for themselves, and getting parents on board. Thanks for sharing your inspiring ideas!
